Have you been sitting on your 2018 fitness resolutions? Quit giving yourself excuses as Virgin Active is bringing you three different classes every week till the end of the year – for free!
With classes after work hours and during the weekend, there is bound to be a class that fits your schedule. Rope in your friends and family to kickstart your fitness journey or join in the fun of mass workouts.
Known as Workout in the Park, these free mass workout sessions will be available till December 31, 2018. Classes will be held at venues close to the various Virgin Active clubs.
Here’s the schedule.
In partnership with New Zealand fitness company, Les Mills, Virgin Active is now offering free weekly Body Balance classes. This is a yoga-based workout that incorporates elements of tai chi and pilates. Accompanied with motivating soundtracks, be prepared to pick up breathing techniques that will leave you feeling calm and invigorated after the class. Head to Urban Park at Tanjong Pagar Centre for the Body Balance class. Pre-registration is not required.
Every Saturday from July 14, 10.30am to 11.30am at Level 1, Urban Park, Tanjong Pagar Centre
Punch and kick your way to fitness with this workout. It incorporates the techniques of Karate, Taekwondo, and boxing to work your whole body. Great to relieve stress or re-energise yourself after a long day at work. This class doesn’t require prior experience in martial arts.
Every Tuesday, 6.30pm to 7.30pm at Urban Park, Tanjong Pagar Centre
Every Wednesday, 6.30pm to 7.30pm at Duo Galleria Open Plaza
Every Thursday, 7.30pm to 8.30pm at B1 Star Plaza, Star Vista
Relax and unwind after work by releasing the tension in your body with vinyasa yoga. Not only will it calm your mind, yoga will also help you build strength, flexibility and stability. Don’t be surprised to find yourself feeling more energised and even sleeping better after the yoga session.
Every Tuesday, 6.30pm to 7.30pm at The Heart at Marina One (from June onwards)
This is a full-body strengthening workout that will leave no muscle untouched. From your abs to your glutes and thighs, POP Pilates has got you covered. The series of core-based and cardio exercises are sure to get your heart pumping – perfect for sweating it out after being cooped up in the office all day or to kick-start your Saturday mornings.
Every Friday, 5.30pm to 6.15pm at The Heart at Marina One (from June onwards)
Every Saturday 11am to 12pm at Duo Galleria Open Plaza
