You want to progress from mat pilates
Challenge yourself by signing up for machine-assisted pilates classes. Start out at the Reformer and Tower 1 class where you’ll learn the basics of the pilates reformer and other apparatuses. The reformer helps add resistance to pilates exercises by using springs that are attached to it. Using the reformer, you’ll get to build and tone your muscles while training stability. This beginner-friendly class is great for those who are new to pilates, or for those who have stopped practising and want a refresher.
Once you’re more comfortable on the reformer, you can move on to the Reformer and Tower 2 class. This is an intermediate class where your workout repertoire expands and gets more challenging. Here, you’ll start doing more complex moves and add weights to your routine. Burn, baby, burn!
Finally, seasoned pilates practitioners can opt for the Reformer and Tower 3 class, where you can challenge your balance, coordination and strength. A wide range of exercises is offered on both the reformer and tower, ensuring you’ll never get bored.
