If you do yoga or pilates in Singapore, you might already own a pair of leggings or sports bra by Vivre Activewear. Here’s what you can expect at its new flagship store in Vivocity.
Vivre Activewear has quickly grown to be a favourite among fitness lovers since opening in 2014. This homegrown activewear label has functional and durable products that are both attractive and affordable. Adding to their physical boutiques is their third store at Vivocity, along with a new collection of leggings, sports bras, tanks and soon, swimwear.
A spacious store with larger changing rooms
Opening officially on September 22, this new store will have beautiful decor and a new premium collection. Upon walking in, you will be greeted by bright lights, concrete walls and sleek shelving. This flagship store is the biggest among their three stores, aimed at giving buyers the best shopping experience.
Even the changing rooms were deliberately built bigger to provide room for stretching and testing the flexibility of its activewear.
Get your hands on their Premium Elite Collection
Crafted with special premium fabric, this collection is Vivre Activewear’s compression line. It has the classic features of a high-waisted silhouette meant for an Asian frame, but with a change in logo. Instead of its signature cursive logo that is usually printed on their apparel, the Elite line bears a small shield-like emblem, complete with a V in the middle.
The comfy and functional pair of leggings also holds you in a bit more – perfect for higher impact activities or just a tighter tuck. The best part? They come with slightly deeper pockets to hold your phone and more.
Upon touching the fabric, I did not feel a big difference other than the fact that the Elite version is slightly silkier. However, once I put them on, I felt it almost immediately. It holds the body in tighter, keeping it firm for more dynamic movements. Certain items, such as the Attitude Elite Performance Tights and Grace Active Sports Bra are currently exclusive to the Vivocity outlet.
Vivre Activewear has also refreshed their yoga mat collection with newer, brighter designs. Made for travelling yogis or those that bring their mat to work, this microfibre and rubber mat is just 0.15cm thick, making it extremely lightweight and portable. Like their towels, these mats have an anti-slip technology so you’ll always have a good grip. Backed with a rubber base, this mat will definitely stay in place during the sweatiest hot yoga sessions.
Besides the Elite collection, they also launched new sports bras in store. Unlike existing designs that have intricate back details and airy cutouts, this crop bra was created for simplicity. The spaghetti straps and straight cut design makes it wearable for everyone and is suitable for almost any workout. To ensure support despite thinner straps, it is made of a slightly stiffer material. While I found that it was sturdier, my usual size felt a little small, so I recommend sizing up, or trying it in store.
Look out for an upcoming swimwear range in 2019
Their activewear is a crowd pleaser, but stay tuned for more. Vivre Activewear will not just be for studio wear once they launch their upcoming swimwear collection. It’s all still in the works, but they told us that the collection will be more supportive than most swimwear, so that you can be active in it.
Loyal fans of the brand might have already visited the store during its soft opening on September 16. But don’t worry if you missed it – Vivre Activewear will be having their grand opening celebration on September 22 and 23. Customers who spend more than $150 will receive a special goodie bag containing snacks, as well as beauty and hair care products.
