Amore Fitness instructors demonstrated some powerful stretching moves at Shape Fitness Fiesta 2016.
Missed out on Shape Fitness Fiesta 2016? The fitness event – held at East Coast Park’s Big Splash on Sunday, March 20 – saw over 280 women grooving to the beat of hip hop music (FunkBlitz), latin songs (CardioLatino), and winding down with a gentle stretching workout, StretchFit.
Now you may not think much about stretching, especially after a calorie-blasting cardio workout, but here’s why you should: Stretching relaxes and improves blood flow to your muscles, helping them recover from a workout faster. It also lengthens the muscles and makes you more aware of your posture, so you’ll walk away taller and leaner instantly. Another big plus: Stretching has a perk-you-up effect. (Don’t believe? Just try reaching your arms to the ceiling and hold for a few seconds!)
