As Singapore celebrates Earth Hour from 8.30pm to 9.30pm on March 25, you can do your part by joining a spinning event at a shopping mall.
The hook? Disney Tsum Tsum.
Those adorable stackable toys will be on display in the form of giant inflatables at The Star Vista mall. And you’ll get to cycle in full view of them. Altogether now: Wow.
The mall aims to set a first in the Singapore Book of Records for generating the most electrical energy by stationary bikes in one hour. As you cycle, the Disney Tsum Tsum displays will light up while the shopping mall lights go off for Earth Hour.
There will be six stationary bikes at the atrium for shoppers to pedal. The mall is targeting 300 shoppers to achieve the feat.
That’s not all. The total mileage will be combined with the efforts of shoppers from four other countries – Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan and China – to collectively clock a distance of 40,075km, the circumference of the earth.
For Disney fans, this also marks the last appeareance of the Tsum Tsum inflatables at the mall.
