Vowed to get fitter this year but can’t seem to find the motivation to start exercising? Well, here’s our advice: The trick is to start small. Make time for at least one workout every week, and before you know it, it’ll become a habit.
If you work in the CBD, sign up for Pure Fitness and Pure Yoga’s free group exercise classes. Or head over to the Marina Bay area on the weekend to try their signature workouts, including Zumba and a variety of yoga classes, which will be conducted outdoors at the Prudential Marina Bay Carnival from January to March 2018. Plus, after you sweat it out, you can check out the thrilling rides at the carnival or just relax under the night sky.

Here’s a look at the January schedule:
Yoga (Tuesday, 23 January 7pm to 8pm, Saturday, 27 January 5.45pm to 6.45pm, Tuesday, 30 January 7pm to 8pm)
Yoga calms your mind, helps you to focus better and gives you body a good stretch so that you can unwind after a long day. It also helps to build strength, flexibility and stability. If you’re looking for a way to challenge your mind and your body, practising yoga will do the trick.
The class on 23 January focuses on breathing and works your entire body. It’s gentle and beginner-friendly, so invite your friends and family to join you. If you have stiff shoulders from hours spent hunched over the computer, then the class on 27 January will be up your alley. The poses taught will help you relax your neck and shoulders. The class on 30 January is also great for office workers who sit down all day as participants will do an extensive lower body workout that ends off with a good stretch.

Zumba (Thursday, 25 January 7pm to 8pm)
This high-energy workout is cardio in disguise. With its easy-to-follow dance steps, you’ll be grooving to pumped-up music non-stop. Expect to perspire buckets.
The schedule for February and March follow the same structure and timing: Yoga classes on Tuesdays from 7pm to 8pm and Zumba classes on Thursdays from 7pm to 8pm. Fitness or yoga classes on Saturdays from 5.45pm to 6.45pm
