No crunches! Amore Fitness personal trainer Rosnani Abdullah demonstrates this simple abs workout, using just two small towels, to help you trim belly fat. Seeming deceptively simple, these moves will prove a real ab-firming challenge. Note: To avoid hurting yourself, don’t overextend your limbs during the workout. You shouldn’t feel overstretched or uncomfortable.
Works abs and cardio
Get into plank position with each foot on a towel. Ensure that hands are kept shoulder-width apart [shown]. Slide one foot forward and pull knee in towards chest [shown], then slide back to the starting position. Repeat with other foot. Alternate feet as fast as possible for 30 seconds. Do three 30-second sets. Each set should comprise at least five reps on each side.
To increase the workout intensity, try this:
From the starting position, slide both feet forward together and pull knees towards chest [shown] then back to the starting position. Slide feet wide apart [shown] and return to the starting position. Do three 30-second sets of at least five reps per set.
