Fortunately, no one was injured in the fire, the singer said in a video showing her recent workouts.
It’s not uncommon to stumble on a workout video from Britney Spears when you’re scrolling through Instagram. But this week, the singer had more to share than just her latest fitness routine. In a video live-stream, Spears said she accidentally started a fire in her home gym.
“Hi guys, I’m in my gym right now. I haven’t been in here for like six months because I burned my gym down, unfortunately,” she began the video. “I had two candles, and yeah, one thing led to another, and I burned it down.” Fortunately, no one was hurt in the accident, continued Spears.
While she says the fire left her with considerably less workout equipment, the pop icon is still finding ways to stay active. In her video, she showed viewers a few of her recent workouts: dumbbell front and lateral raises, which target the shoulders; dumbbell squats, a great functional fitness move; and dumbbell forward lunges, which hit the glutes and hamstrings.

but yes …. I burnt it down 🙈. I walked past the door to the gym and flames 🔥🔥🔥🔥 BOOM !!!!!! By the Grace of God the alarm 🚨 went off after that and yippy hoorah nobody got hurt 🙏🏼. Unfortunately now I have only two pieces of equipment left lol and a one-sided mirror gym 🙄🙄🙄 !!!!! But it could be much worse so I’m grateful. Pssss I like working out better outside anyways 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸 !!!!
Spears’ video then cut to her practicing yoga on an outdoor balcony. “I like working out better outside anyway,” she wrote in her Instagram post. (ICYMI, Spears said in January that she wanted to do “a lot more” yoga in 2020.)
First, the singer is shown flowing between chaturanga and downward dog—a great way to build upper-body and core strength—before doing a side plank on each side and returning to downward dog. From there, she transitioned into a forward lunge, warrior I, and warrior II. Spears also practiced cat-cow—a gentle massage for the spine that stretches your back, torso, and neck—and child’s pose—a really good hip-opener—toward the end of her video.

Lifting each other up and being positive is also very important to keep higher frequencies going in the body to help us clear our energy. The power of your thoughts are also very crucial !!!!! Make sure you’re sending good vibes out there no matter what …. God will do the rest.
Spears may have accidentally set her home gym on fire (let her experience be a lesson that candles and home gyms are not a good combo), but clearly she’s not letting that get in the way of her favorite workouts. “It could be much worse,” she wrote, concluding her Instagram post. “So I’m grateful.”
