At Shape‘s recent dance-a-thon Shape Glow 2016, you would be forgiven for thinking it was a fashion parade.
Over 260 women arrived in groovy outfits that screamed funk, hip-hop and Zumba. After all, they were going to sweat it out in three workouts – FunkBlitz, KickBlitz and Zumba – led by instructors from Amore Fitness.
Held at Scape The Ground Theatre, Shape Glow 2016 had participants moving to the beat of hiphop tunes (FunkBlitz), throwing kicks and punches in a high-intensity interval training routine (KickBlitz), and shaking their booties to Latin music (Zumba) for three hours. In a club-like setting, time seemed to stand still. Everyone was enthralled by the loud music, colourful disco beams, as well as smooth moves showcased by the Amore Fitness instructors.
In between the workouts, we caught up with six good-lookers to find out their fitness and fashion inspiration.

#3 Best Dresser of Shape Glow: Elizabeth Rigby, 24
“I don’t want to be restricted by my clothes when I dance. I chose this outfit as it’s baggy and feels ‘hiphop’, one of my favourite dance styles. I’m also into funk and K-pop. K-pop dancers are so sexy, I want to be like them!”
Elizabeth Rigby, 24.
#4 Best Dresser of Shape Glow: Shina Lee, 25
“I’m currently into waacking and reggae. I’m born in the 90’s, which is when hip-hop became popular, so this is how I like to dress.”
