Get Fit and Feel Good At One Raffles Place – April 8 to 29
For the month of April, One Raffles Place will be rolling out a month’s worth of fitness activities and wellness workshops. This is in collaboration with the Health Promotion Board and the Singapore National Employers Federation for the Healthy Workplace Ecosystem initiative. Singapore Badminton Open 2019, Singapore Indoor Stadium — April 9 to 14
Fans of badminton definitely shouldn’t miss Singapore’s most prestigious badminton competition, the Singapore Badminton Open. The event gathers champion shuttlers from all around the world to battle it out for a US$355,000 (around $482,480) grand prize. World and Olympic champions such as Kento Momota, Lilyana Natsir, Tontowi Ahmad and Ratchanok Intanon have reigned supreme at this yearly competition. Tickets cost upwards of $20 via Apactix.
2019 HSBC Singapore Rugby Sevens – April 13 to 14
The annual HSBC Singapore Rugby Sevens is more than an exciting rugby game. It’s a full weekend affair filled with entertaining acts such as Smash Mouth and Broadway’s Rock of Ages, fans in wacky costumes and plenty of fringe activities for the whole family. Pokemon GO Safari Zone, Sentosa — April 18 to 22
If you’re still deeply in love with Pokemon GO, here’s a piece of good news for you: In partnership with Niantic and The Pokémon Company, Sentosa will become a safari zone for players to catch rare, shiny and never-before-seen Pokémon, such as Tropius, shiny Shuckle, Unown and more as you explore the island. While you do have to register for a spot in the zone, people who missed the chance can still experience normal gameplay on the island. There are over 100,000 slots up for grabs so hurry, register for free, put on your comfy walking shoes and go catch ’em all.
FitnessFest 2019 by AIA – April 27
Get a week’s worth of workouts at FitnessFest by AIA, where back-to-back fitness classes are in order for 12 hours straight. From aerial yoga and crossfit, to boxing and bouldering, 10 fitness areas will be set up within Marina Bay Sands B2 Expo Halls with try-out zones and scheduled classes. The main stage is where you’ll want to be to work out alongside fitness stars like celebrity personal trainer Kelsey Wells, who will be leading her signature PWR (Power) Bootcamp. Income Eco Run – April 28
Eco-warriors, this run’s for you. The Income Eco Run 2019, held at the F1 Pit Building, is one that aims to reduce the use of single-use plastic products. Instead of serving out disposable cups at hydration points, participants of the Zero Waste 5km Run will be given reusable cups that can be easily folded and stashed in their pockets. Those running in the other categories will also have the option to pick it up to support the cause. Registration has been extended till April 5 and we hear spots are still available for the Half Marathon and 10km runs. OSIM Sundown Marathon 2019 – June 1
