Being a mum – caregiver, educator, planner, entertainer, chef and more – is basically a lifetime job for superheroes. And for that, we are eternally in awe and full of respect for mothers out there.
In honour of all mums, mums-to-be, and mums at heart this Mother’s Day, we’re organising a week of Fit Mum Special (free) Instagram Live events on @ShapeSingapore from May 7 to 14. Take some time to nourish your mind and body, and you will feel the ripple effects in your life.
7 May (2.30pm) – Yoga For Pregnant and New Mums by Dawn Sim is suitable for all pregnancy trimesters, and mums who have recently given birth (from 1 month after natural birth and 3 months after c-sect).
9 May (3pm) – Womb Yoga For Mums by Dewi Chen of Terra Luna Yoga will focus on connecting to our womb spaces while understanding more about the postpartum body.
9 May (5pm) – Balancing Mental, Emotional & Physical Fitness Talk by Sari Marsden will help mums (and anyone feeling overwhelmed) acknowledge and realign their mental, emotional and physical states for better health during this covid period.
10 May (3pm) – Mother’s Day Family Workout by Dawn Sim is a fun superhero-themed workout that’s designed for the whole family to get active and bond, regardless of age.
14 May (5.30pm) – Postnatal Yoga by Dawn Sim is dedicated to helping women regain functional strength after childbirth. It’s open to mums at all stages of life. Partners are welcome.
