Fat-free, and a good source of electrolytes for rehydrating post-workout (or for fighting the flu), coconut water has gained quite a following recently – mostly thanks to US celebs Madonna and Demi Moore who kickstarted the trend in Hollywood. The trend has since paved the way for many more new brands offering coconut water.
The team raided the nearby supermarket and emerged with a haul of nine packs of UHT coconut water and juice. It might taste less ideal than the actual nut or even bottles of fresh coconut water, but you have to admit, these handy packs are definitely more convenient to purchase and store.
Here are our picks for the best UHT coconut water in town.

#1 UHT Coconut Water: Just Picked Cocowater ($2.50 for 330ML)
Review Unanimously voted the best among the team, this drink tastes most like the actual nut. The liquid is also colourless (just like the freshest coconuts) and doesn’t leave any strong aftertaste.

#2 UHT Coconut Water: Tipco 100% Coconut Water ($3.85 for 1L)
Review The natural sweetness of this drink won us over, and we had to check that there was indeed no sugar or sweetener added (there isn’t). The 1L pack also means there’s plenty of coconut goodness to share with a friend!

#3 UHT Coconut Water: Cocomax 100% Coconut Water ($1.65 for 500ML) and Ice Cool Young Coconut Juice with Pulp ($1 for 300ML) – It’s a tie!
Review We were pleasantly surprised by the aroma of Cocomax, and liked that it was smooth on the palette. As for Ice Cool, there’s added sugar for a tinge of sweetness. The drink retains the refreshing taste of a fresh nut – plus, there’s pulp for those who like more bite.
Conclusion: Team Shape has a penchant for the naturally sweet Thailand coconuts (all the coconuts in the drinks above are sourced from the land of smiles). Slurpingly good!
