According to a nutrition expert, potato chips are a better bet than store-bought popcorn.

Go for potato chips: They are likely to be the healthiest snack among the three.
The calorie content per 30g portion for potato chips, popcorn and nacho chips is about the same (150-160kcal), but nacho chips have the most sodium.
Between the popcorn and potato chips though, it’s a tough call. Popcorn may have more fibre, but it also tends to have lots of artificial flavouring, says Pooja Vig, nutritional therapist at The Nutrition Clinic.
When it comes to chips, look for the less-salt versions, or those that use blue potatoes (for antioxidants).
Unless you’re popping the corn yourself (where you can control the oil and salt that goes in), the movie snack is worse than potato chips.
