Hydration Tips brought to you by H-TWO-O – The Winning Formula

When we exercise, many of the minerals and fluids in our body are either depleted or lost through perspiration. When athletes do not replenish the hydration, salt and minerals lost, it stresses the cardiovascular system, and causes the body temperature to rise and endurance levels to take a dive.

Ensuring proper hydration intake is a continuous process. It begins with consuming isotonic beverages before, during and after exercise. Adequate hydration is vital for every athlete to obtain optimum performance. More often than not, athletes are unaware that losing body weight after exercise is actually fluid lost.

Most sportsmen are unaware of the importance of being well-hydrated. Although water does in fact catalyse the lowering of body temperature, it does not contain the additional properties needed to recharge the minerals lost during active sports. It is therefore important to note that quenching mouth thirst may not be the same as quenching the loss of body fluids. When athletes do not replace the hydration lost through perspiration, it will affect their performance and put themselves at risk of dehydration or even a heat stroke. Timely replenishment with isotonic drinks such as H-TWO-O, which contains fluids, vital electrolytes and carbohydrates, will help to replenish the body and refuel the working muscles for better performance.

H-TWO-O has formulated two fun flavours (Original & Apple) that will trigger more fluid consumption any they come in 300ml, 500ml & 1.5l versions. These include non-carbonated H-TWO-O Original, Sparkling Original, Sparkling Apple.
