If you’re looking for a do-it-all balm, the True Organic of Sweden All You Need is Me Cream ($29, www.anupliftedday.com) is, well, truly all you need. Made with an impressively short list of natural and organic ingredients – castor oil, beeswax, olive oil, shea butter, vitamin E and blueberry seed oil – this moisturising formula has a thicker consistency that is perfect for dry cuticles and chapped lips. But don’t stop there – you can even use it on your face, body, lips, scalp and hair!
According to the brand, the All You Need is Me Cream is an organic and natural alternative to the, ahem, famous Eight-Hour Cream. Having tried both, I’d say they come pretty close and both work just as effectively. This gentle salve also soothes skin irritations and treats minor sunburns, making it a great companion for travels. Also good to note: 95 per cent of ingredients in this are from organic origins, and it’s formulated without parabens, mineral oils, sulphates or dyes. This is also not tested on animals.
I brought the All You Need is Me Cream with me on a recent holiday to Taiwan where it was cold and dry, and I’m happy to report that it served its purpose well. I used it right from the time I got onto the plane since my lips and cuticles usually start peeling due to dehydrating cabin air. This sticky balm really helped to ‘seal’ my nail cuticles, preventing them from peeling further.
Because of how moisturising the formula is, it does feel a bit sticky, so I’m not sure how it would feel on the face. I personally prefer using it on my lips, nails, elbows, and as a spot treatment for insect bites, minor cuts and eczema patches.
Give the All You Need is Me Cream a try if you’re after a do-it-all, multipurpose balm or salve. A little goes a long way, so one tube will probably last a long time. For more information on the cream or to purchase, visit www.anupliftedday.com.
